Phorrest, my cat, had a bath tonight. He was getting stinky and we can't bathe him after we give him his flea medication on tuesday. So tonight was the perfect oppurtunity. Before I gave him a bath I retouched my hair so my roots weren't showing as much. Having pink hair is tough when ones hair grows so fast. Anyways, when the bottle was almost empty, I got an amazing idea. Wouldn't it be cool to have a cat with a pink paw?! So I applied a small amount to his paw and covered it with a rubber glove, at this point he was already wearing the cone of shame. The cone of shame goes on at bath time so I don't get his head or ears wet and so he can't see the water. Wearing the cone of shame, Phorrest could not take the rubber glove off. I only left it on for a few minutes as I ran the shallow bath. I then washed the cat and paid close attention to the paw, washing that more than once. When the bath was over and I had dried him off, I realized just how thin he has become. He is seventeen after all. He insisted on cleaning himself for the next few hours and we watched Clue: the movie while I waited for the hair dye to activate. I left it in longer this time so we'll see how long it lasts. When the movie was over I washed it out and blow dried and styled my hair for the visit to Gramie tomorrow. I can't wait to see her reaction to my hair.
So during all this activity I was (and still am) doing laundry. My blankets were in desperate need of washing and tonight was a great night to tackle that. I am a but worried though, the lint hasn't been gathering in the lint trap. Moms afraid of a dryer fire. Me? I'm not as concerned as all that, but it is weird. I took a LED flashlight and a wire hanger and poked around in there and last load a bit of lint appeared on the screen, so we'll see what happens.
